| Abstract: | This project is carried out on behalf of the EMCDDA. Aim of the project is to conceptualize a methodology for monitoring the misuse of medicines in Europe. The project consists of three parts:
- Part 1 is focussing a literature review about use and misuse of medicines in Europe to characterize the present situation in the population about patterns of use and misuse of pharmaceuticals and how people can get medicines.
- Part 2 should give a mapping of institutions involved in pharmacovigilance, their data bases and reports about misuse cases.
- Part 3 is focussing participating institutions and their function (task, input and expected output) for a European Monitoring system.
